ATLANTA — A community is working to make sure its history is honored and remembered.
On Wednesday, crews started work at Thomasville Cemetery, home to what community members said are more than 425 graves.
“It’s a cultural legacy heritage site, in our mind. Something to take care of those that are here for many years, and you don’t want to ignore those that have lived here and have passed away,” said Metro South Community Improvement District (CID) Executive Director Larry Kaiser.
